St. Bernards are known to be a little opinionated and often times stubborn. They know what they like and make it known to all. This is especially true with Bonnie who has decided to buck the "no sofa" rule because she loves the sofa, the sofa is hers now, and she will take over the sofa forevermore.

In the July 11, 2024 TikTok video shared by @stbons , the funny girl refusing to move when Mom asks her to. See her hilarious response!

In the video captioned, "Watch until the end. The no-sofa rule working well
" Bonnie's mom tries repeatedly to urge her off the sofa, but the St. Bernard has other plans, standing her ground by doubling down on her weight when Mom physically tries to nudge her off.

For more than a minute, the gentle giant paws at any attempt to get her to move, grumbling and grunting with every attempt to force her from the furniture. Finally by the end, Bonnie throws a major curveball and slides herself off, flopping to the floor like a Ragdoll. Everyone erupts in laughter because this drama queen put them through it!

Among the 25,000 likes and hundreds of comments, plenty of people felt pure delight watching the St. Bernard's antics.

"That was such a sassy flop to the floor. Such a beautiful girl," one person said. "I'm comfortable I'm not going no where. This is mine now," another said. "Get a St. Bernard they said. It’ll be fun they said!!" another added.

Bonnie is such a comedian! Surely this won't be the last time she tries to takeover the sofa.

    Training a Stubborn St. Bernard

The traits and history of St. Bernards suggest that while they have an eager-to-please, calm nature, they can also be very independent and stubborn. The American Kennel Club says that though all dogs should have training, it's especially important with the Saint breed . This is partially due to their size, which they'll take advantage of to get food or knock kids over, and also because they tend not to budge when they want something their way.

Once training begins, the site says it doesn't take long for them to respond to the cues. They're smart and lovable, even when they've decided they don't like the rules! The key is staying consistent so not to send mixed signals, and they'll eventually, mostly comply.

As for Bonnie, she's just a little baby testing her limits! Plus, she's almost too adorable to say no!
