Lewis County Fair: Changes due to Weather

LEWIS COUNTY, N.Y. (WWTI) – Due to recent extreme weather conditions some schedule changes and parking restrictions have been put in place at the Lewis County Fair, according to recent Facebook Posts .

Parking :

There will be NO parking at the fairgrounds, attendees are asked to use the free shuttle service, July 16 through 20, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. With flood clean-up continuing in the village, parking will be limited. Fair attendees are encouraged to take advantage of this no-hassle option.

Locations, arrives at the fair every 15 minutes:

• Walmart, 7155 State Route 12
• Abundant Life Community Church, 5723 Waters Road
• Ox Warehouse (former Climax Manufacturing Co.) 7798 State Rt. 26

Handicap and stroller accessible transportation provided by the Lewis County Fair and Lewis County Public Transportation.

Schedule changes :

• The 9 a.m. Out of Field Tractor Pull on July 17, has been canceled;
• The 4H/FFA Western Horse Show on July 17 has moved to 10 a.m.;
• The 4H Horse Show has been moved to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17;
• The Open Cow Show has been moved to Thursday, July 18;
• The Holstein Show has been moved to Saturday, July 20;
• The Dog Show location has been moved to the LeRoy Nichols Building;
• The 4H/Open Goat Show has been moved to Friday, July 19;
• The 4H/Open Rabbit Show has been moved to Friday, July 19, 10 a.m. for showmanship and 1 p.m. for all breeds; and
• The Fireworks has been rescheduled for Friday, July 19 at 10:30 p.m.
