Christina Hall's Instagram Account May Have Hinted at Marital Troubles With Josh Hall

Josh Hall surprised fans on Tuesday, July 16 when he filed for divorce from HGTV star Christina Hall. The split seemingly came out of nowhere, but a closer look at Christina’s Instagram account might have spelled out that trouble was ahead.

The 41-year-old TV personality, who married Josh in 2021, was always gushing about their love on her social media pages. It wasn’t unusual to see them cuddled up together on vacation or sharing a sweet moment with her kids, daughter Taylor Reese, 13, and son Brayden James, 8, from her first marriage to Tarek El Moussa, and son Hudson London, 4, from her second marriage to Ant Anstead. A deeper dive on her Instagram page shows that the last image of Josh was on February 26 from a family vacation to Park City, Utah — and not a single loved-up Valentine’s Day post. Fans will have to go back to September 2023 to find just a solo snapshot with them.

A source told People that the former duo “had issues in the marriage for quite some time,” and Christina has already deleted an image from their 2022 Hawaii ceremony. The caption on the former post read, “My dream man on the dreamiest island. Maui holds a special place in my heart. What an amazing night filled with love.” (You can see the image HERE .) The elimination of their relationship milestone hints that this could be a contentious divorce.

Josh filed for divorce first, according to TMZ , and Christina’s filing is expected to follow. He cited the classic “irreconcilable differences” and he’s asking for alimony from his estranged wife. He also noted that he wants the court to block her from asking for alimony and he’s requesting the rights to his HGTV and Discovery Network shows during the time they were married. The breakup also leaves HGTV in a pickle because the former couple, along with Tarek and his second wife Heather Rae El Moussa, have a new show up ahead, The Flip Off , in addition to Josh’s new role in the upcoming season of Christina on the Coast . It’s a hot mess, to be honest.

Christina might have tipped her hand about how things were going with Josh, though. She revealed in a July 8 Us Weekly interview that “it is challenging to work with your spouse, especially if they’re not used to being on TV.” The HGTV star might have been preparing fans for what was ahead — and it wasn’t a happy ending.
