Drake’s Toronto home was flooded during a massive storm that overtook the city, leaving the palatial estate in a pool of dirty water.

On Tuesday (July 16), the Canadian rap star shared a clip showing the damage to his mansion, dubbed “The Embassy,” to his followers on social. “This better be espresso martini,” the 37-year-old wrote as the caption across the video, apparently taking the natural disaster in stride with a lighthearted reaction to the matter at hand.

According to reports, the rainfall marked one of the most torrential days Toronto seen over the past century, with 98 mm of rain accumulating on Tuesday alone. Historically, the city generally averages a total of 75 mm of rain throughout the entirety of a summer season, with Tuesday accounting for the fifth rainiest day in Toronto since 1938.

“We had 25 percent more rain in three hours than we’d have normally in the whole month of July with all the thunderstorms and systems that moved through,” meteorologist Dave Phillips told local news station CP24.

Drizzy was far from the only citizen affected by the storm, as various transportation hubs were shut down, including DVP lanes and Union Station. According to Toronto Hydro, over 167,000 customers were left without power, and several flights in the region either suffered massive delays or were cancelled altogether.

One of Hip-Hop’s kings of the summer hasn’t been having the best season thus far, as he’s been subjected to a running list of lowlights. Adding insult to injury following his defeat at the hands of Kendrick Lamar in the wake of their battle of rap disses, the release of the West Coast star’s music video to his chart-topping smash “Not Like Us” reignited the track’s buzz. Skyrocketing back to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the song is the leading contender for song of the summer, a bragging right Drake himself is normally accustomed to.

As they say, when it rains it pours, an adage Drizzy can certainly attest to, particularly at this juncture.
