Cats are bossy, especially when there are other animals involved. They like things to be their way, and if you try not to make it so, they will get you back. Their revenge will be swift, harsh, and maybe even detrimental to your ankles.
On Tuesday, July 16th, one Ragdoll cat showed off her bossy side right in front of mom. Her Golden Retriever sister got directly in her way, and she wanted to get back at him:
Meredith the Ragdoll may be the only one in this house, but being outnumbered doesn't mean she's lost any power. She has all of the power, and they know it!

Meredith Mae (AKA Mae Mae) is 4 years old, and despite having five dog siblings, she holds her own. She's the star of this TikTok account and has been since their first post in the height of the pandemic. Everybody loved her; how sassy she is, how absolutely gorgeous she is, and how she interacts with her siblings.
They do get posted on her account pretty often, too; there are two Pomeranians, one Golden Retriever, one English Springer Spaniel, and one final dog that we have not identified. She seems to have the most beef with Kelso, the Golden Retriever, and her favorite is the English Springer Spaniel, Tucker. Everyone else is on thin ice!
Ragdolls Are Good With Dogs
Ragdolls are known for being sweet, fluffy, and mild-mannered. They're called Ragdolls because they're floppy; they don't mind being picked up, moved around, or put in different positions. They're so easygoing that Taylor Swift was actually able to include her own Ragdoll, Benji, in her TIME Person of the Year photoshoot !
That excellent temperament usually extends to dogs as well, as long as they're socialized from an early age. They're relatively doglike themselves; they care more about bonding with their humans than they do with other animals in the home. Mae Mae may not look like it, but she really does love all of her siblings.
Even the most dog-friendly cats in the world can still get their claws out, though, and your dog may be on the receiving end of a swipe if they:
- Get too close to your cat when they're not expecting it.
- Try to "share" a toy, food, or water.
- Accidentally touch something the cat has decided is important.
- Breathe too heavily.
Cats tend to be at their grumpiest when they first wake up, right before mealtime, and at bedtime. Making sure they have plenty of quiet time throughout the day will help make sure they don't get overwhelmed and grumpy!
