In a recent interview with India Today , Anjumm Shharma discussed his character in Mirzapur and defended the ending as justified. He said, “I knew about the end of my character. I knew this is how Sharad had to exit, and I think it’s well justified. Mirzapur is known for its drama and the way it shocks you. The way this character was developed, it was a classic ending.”

He further added, “I don’t think it was unfair. It was the biggest dramatic part of Season 3. See, I knew this was going to happen, but our goal was to make the audience feel bad for him when it happened [Sharad’s death].”
