Nine Mile Road head-on collision hospitalizes 3 people in Escambia County

Multiple Escambia County Fire Rescue units responded to the intersection of Beulah and West Nine Mile road Wednesday morning after two vehicle hit each other head-on.

Around 3:07 a.m., two vehicles met in a head-on collision that trapped an individual. However, ECFR says, "Within 13 minutes, the patient was freed."

Escambia County Public Information Officer for Public Safety Davis Wood told the News Journal that three patients were transported by county EMS to a local hospital for unspecified injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
