Good news for residents in the unincorporated parts of the county: Another Federal Emergency Management Agency Mobile Recovery center has opened at the Jane G. Sauls Fort Braden Library.

The site joins the already established Disaster Recovery Center at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Library , which both were opened in response to the May 10 tornado outbreak.

The Fort Braden site is open for a limited time, running 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. until this coming Sunday. The downtown library is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.

No appointment is necessary to visit either center.

    • Your Social Security number
    • A general list of damage and losses
    • Banking information if you choose direct deposit
    • If insured, the policy number or the agent and/or the company name

How to apply for FEMA assistance

    • In addition to visiting a center, residents can apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov , or use the FEMA app (available on iOS and Android ).
