Lopez and Affleck have not shared their marital issues publicly and they’ve been carrying on solo this summer. She’s been on the East Coast while he is nesting in a rented Brentwood home near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. It doesn’t seem particularly contentious given that their blended family has been spending time together , but Lopez and Affleck aren’t ever in the same place at the same time anymore.

The “Jenny From the Block” singer chose to spend Tuesday, July 16 in the Hamptons riding her bike on a lovely summer day. Affleck was in Los Angeles, still sporting his wedding ring, according to Life & Style , but there was no celebration of their Las Vegas elopement. Even though it seems like things are falling apart, the two A-listers apparently are being thoughtful about what comes next in their relationship.

Their Beverly Hills house is up for sale, but neither of them reportedly felt comfortable there . Yet, getting rid of the massive $68 million estate still could mean a fresh start for them if they choose to reconcile. However, In Touch sources aren’t that hopeful about the split. “The writing is on the wall – it’s over,” the insider claimed back in May. “They’re headed for a divorce.”

It takes two to tango, so the blame can’t fall on just one person. Their lives, even twenty years later, are so vastly different and those long-term dreams never seemed to overlap. “They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her,” the source summed up. “There’s no way it could have lasted.” Only time will tell!
