Chaumont Beach closed until further notice

CHAUMONT, N.Y. (WWTI) – The recent rainy weather has closed down Chaumont Beach in the town of Lyme until further notice.

In a post on the village’s Facebook page, the beach will be closed until further notice as the inclement weather keeps washing the beach and shoreline away.

Town officials said they hope to have the beach back up and running soon.

The village will post updates to when the beach will reopen again.
