(WKBN) – There is growing concern with the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) over a recall of infused edibles out of California.

ODA is issuing a public health advisory for all Diamond Shruumz brand Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies (Micro and Mega/Extreme-Dose) due to their link with multiple illnesses and one potential death.

Prophet Premium Blends of Santa Ana, CA issued a recall of all Diamond Shruumz brands products on June 27, 2024, however, through recall audit checks, ODA found that has the products are still being offered for sale in smoke/vape shops and other retail stores in Ohio.

According to the recall, multiple people got sick across the U.S. with some reporting neurological symptoms including seizures, central nervous system depression (loss of consciousness, confusion, sleepiness), agitation, abnormal heart rates, hyper/hypotension, as well as nausea and vomiting.

All Diamond Shruumz brand products have been recalled and should not be available for sale.

ODA is warning retailers to pull the products from store shelves and alert customers not to buy or consume Diamond Shruumz brand products.

Please report any retailers still selling Diamond Shruumz brand products to the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s Division of Food Safety at foodsafety@agri.ohio.gov or by calling 614-728-6250.
