Judge Blocks FIREROSE From Using Billy Ray Cyrus' Credit Cards

Billy Ray Cyrus has been granted an emergency motion to block his estranged wife FIREROSE , from using his credit cards amid the couple’s ongoing divorce, less than one year into their marriage . Cyrus filed the motion for a temporary restraining order last month, and alleged his soon-to-be ex-wife spent nearly $97,000 in unauthorized charges.

The judge in Williamson County, Tennessee, located outside of Nashville, believes there is “no legitimate reason for [Firerose] to have access to and to make any additional charges” on the singer’s cards, according to a legal document obtained by PEOPLE that was filed on July 10. The order is effective immediately.

Cyrus, 62, and FIREROSE, 37, got married in October 2023 . He filed for divorce in May, citing “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct,” and alleging fraud. Since then, the estranged husband and wife have made accusations against one another, including of abuse and of isolating the singer from his family.

Cyrus and FIREROSE met more than a decade ago , while Cyrus was working on the set of Hannah Montana with daughter Miley Cyrus . FIREROSE was walking out of an audition when Cyrus was outside with his dog at the time, a German Shepherd named Tex . They reconnected in recent years and announced their engagement in late 2022 . Cyrus called FIREROSE his “soulmate,” and the “ beautiful love of my life .” Since filing for divorce, Cyrus and FIREROSE have unfollowed one another on social media.

Cyrus and his first wife parted ways in 1991. He remarried Tish Cyrus , who shares five children with the country star, in 1993, and that marriage ended in early 2022 after nearly three decades. Cyrus shares five children with Tish: Brandi Cyrus , Trace Cyrus , Braison Cyrus , Noah Cyrus and Miley. He also has son Christopher Cody from a previous relationship.
