Second Annual Summer Stroll Fine Art Show Coming to Ocean Grove

OCEAN GROVE, NJ — Looking for an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday evening at the Jersey Shore?

Be sure to check out the Summer Stroll, a juried fine art show featuring live jazz music and refreshments in Ocean Grove’s business district on Saturday, July 20, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Art will be displayed and for sale along the sidewalks of Main Avenue between Central and New York avenues.

This free event is being presented by the Ocean Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and the Main Avenue Galleria .

There will be 28 professional New Jersey artists showcasing a variety of paintings and photography, from abstract to traditional artwork.

“It should be a really cool evening. It will be something beautiful for your eyes, ears and palette. It should be quite an elegant evening, that is what I’m going for,” noted Norma Tolliver, Main Avenue Galleria Owner/Artist/Art Instructor.

“It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time in Ocean Grove,” Tolliver said, adding, “It is my way of helping provide exposure for local artists by giving them another venue in a different setting other than a craft fair setting.”

The art show will be accompanied by live jazz music by Jo Wymer's Jazz Squad from 5 to 8 p.m.

Jessie Thompson, Executive Director of the Ocean Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, said she is excited to help present an evening event to the community.

“The first year was super successful. We're trying to ignite some more nightlife into Ocean Grove and our business district,” Thompson said.

“We expect it to be busy – the weather looks beautiful. We are hoping it will be really fun and a nice night in Ocean Grove,” she added.

A rain date has been set for Saturday, July 27.
