And that’s exactly what happened last year when she was spotted wearing a black-and-white J.Crew cardigan at the Invictus Games 2023. While we’ve still got our fingers crossed for a restock (the luxe-looking cardi is right on trend for fall 2024 ), fans of the actress have found a super-chic striped lookalike on Amazon. Markle’s J.Crew stunner originally cost $158 and was a best-selling style when she wore it back in September 2013. The black trim and gold buttons were a clear nod to that autumn’s lady jacket trend (one that I highly suspect will continue in 2024), but the longer hem and V-shape neckline gave it a more relaxed vibe that worked beautifully with her simple cuffed shorts and black top.

The cardigan, of course, sold out almost immediately after her stylish appearance at the Invictus Games. But thanks to a slew of Markle-inspired fashionistas, we now have a chic substitute to shop that’s currently on sale for just $30 during Prime Day.

The super-soft Lillusory style differs from Markle’s in two key ways—the stripe pattern and the crew neckline—but otherwise gives the same trendy stealth wealth vibes. (There’s also a solid colored version , which is marked down from $26 to just $20.) It features two patch pockets on the front and is even machine washable for easy care, although the brand recommends laying it out to dry to avoid shrinking in the dryer’s heat.

Reviewers say it generally fits true to size and appreciate that it isn’t quite as cropped as similar styles from other brands. That said, some petite shoppers found they preferred the fit of going down one size from their usual. “I was pleasantly surprised with quality, softness and fit,” writes one 5-star reviewer. “It is a bit boxy, which it’s supposed to be, but fits well and is flattering. This is the first sweater I have ever owned where I didn't have to roll up the sleeves, as they are the perfect length. It’s a mid-weight sweater, not too thin, yet not too heavy, which will be great for spring/fall in Minnesota. Overall very happy with [my] purchase.”
