If you're heading to the Iowa State Fair this year, you'll miss out on Crescenti's, the classic concession stand usually found across from the horse barn.

Why won't Crescenti's be at the Iowa State Fair 2024?

Crescenti’s owner Barry Vosler retired, according to a release from the Iowa State Fair.

Fairgoers will miss the longtime vendor with Italian fried bread, filled with meat and cheese or sweet options.

His situation is different from 2023 when four longtime vendors were banned from the State Fair over allegations they underreported sales.

How long has Crescenti's been at the Iowa State Fair?

The stand first opened in 1983, at a time when corn dogs and fair staples dominated menus across about 150 food stands.
