Some dogs adore bath time and others, not so much. Levi the Golden Retriever falls in the latter category and now that Mom's made him bathe, he's in a mood. For the record, it's adorable.

In the July 16, 2024 TikTok video shared by Levi's mom ( @luvman23 ), the Golden is fresh and clean, but that's not what he wanted. Watch all the attitude below!

"In the video captioned, "The drama," Levi's "post-bath grumps" make a full appearance. With Mom asking him if he's mad at her, he glares back at her with the burning lava of a thousand suns as the video says "Sure am." She tells him he was a "very stinky boy," and the video adds, "She's lying" with a flash of what Levi looked like before his dreaded bath—covered in mud two hours prior!

Of the pup's 175,000 followers, some know this good boy is full of drama, but is too cute doing it.

"What a CUTIE!" one person said. "Adorable," another added. "He will NEVER EVER trust you again!!!!" another joked.

The best part is, this isn't Levi's only post-bath grumps. The sassy Golden is anti-bath time and his Mom has captured it before . Sorry, Levi, but your grump face is actually adorable.

Why Do Some Dogs Hate Baths?

Like Levi, there are some pups that dread getting clean, too. PangoVet says  the reasons dogs hate baths include the noise, the unfamiliar situation, lack of control, and the stress you may feel from it (which they will notice).

Whatever the reason, there are things you can do to bathe dogs afraid of water , or those tat just don't like doing it. Desensitizing them to the water helps, but for dogs like Levi who love other water (like the ocean), it comes down to the sudden change of routine. They don't love the surprise of the bath that's turning their fun time into clean time, even if they're desensitized to the water itself.

Stay cool, calm, and collected when bathing and try to include treats or something they can associate positively with baths and nothing negative. Also be sure there's a non-slip mat they can stand on if the feeling of a slippery tub makes them feel unsafe.

The truth is, some dogs may never like bath time, and it'll always be a chore to get them to do it while others can be conditioned to tolerate them with some positive training. As for Levi, he can't make any promises on how he'll feel when the next bath comes around.
