T he hits just keep coming for Drake .

As he navigates the aftermath of getting defeated by Kendrick Lamar in one of rap’s most popularized beefs in recent history, he also doesn’t have a summer anthem up for grabs.

But another thing he’s grappling with is the terrible rainy weather plaguing North America for the past week. The storm that initially plagued Arkansas, New England, and Illinois has now hit Canada, resulting in significant flooding that affected Drake’s mansion in Toronto’s luxury Bridle Path area.

On Tuesday, the 6 God took to Instagram Stories to show dirty water pouring into a section of his crib. Someone with a broom can be seen wading through the water, and another in the back attempts to close doors as the water rushes in.

Drake seemed just as concerned about the color of the water as fans, jokingly captioning the photo, “This better be espresso Martini.”

Drizzy’s mansion , erected in 2020, has been dubbed “The Embassy.” The Ferris Rafuali-designed home sprawls over 50,000 square feet and features the infamous NBA-sized basketball court , an indoor and outdoor pool, a complete recording studio, and a $400,000 bed.

Despite being worth over $100 million, the home was apparently no match for Mother Nature’s torrential downpour, which caused severe flooding.

In 2020, Drake spoke about the monstrosity home and its stately design, with Architectural Digest , saying, “It’s an overwhelming high luxury. That message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and the ceilings. I wanted to make sure people can see the work I’ve put in over the years reflected from every vantage point.”

He also commented on the structure’s quality at the time, noting that he wanted it to last beyond his lifetime.

“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” Drake said. “It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong,” he adds.

Hopefully, he will figure out how to make it waterproof once he fixes all the water damage. See the reactions to the flooding below.
