LIBERTY TWP., MONTOUR COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — One man is dead after a fatal crash that occurred on I-80 Wednesday afternoon.

State police say 60-year-old Rocco Volpe is dead after a Roto Rooter Truck collided with his pickup truck on I-80 near Danville.

PSP says they responded to a vehicle crash around 2:30 p.m. on I-80 westbound between mile marker 220 and 221, four miles west of the Route 54 interchange (Danville Exit), in Liberty Township, Montour County.

The release states a Roto Rooter truck was traveling east in the construction zone when it struck a concrete barrier and went airborne before crossing into the westbound lane and striking a pick-up truck and another tanker truck.
