She is able to take the most boring piece and transform it into a timeless work of art. But she doesn't just post her successes, she also helps us out by sharing some of her best tips. When it comes to flipping advice, she is definitely one of our favorite creators.

Erin is a huge believer in fixing wood furniture as opposed to simply painting over it. So in this video she explains the basics of the process and how she switched from painting over wood to actually fixing it.

The Number One Product for Fixing Wood Furniture

If there's one product you need to begin your wood repair journey, it's wood putty.

When it comes to hiding imperfections in wood veneer, wood putty, or "adult Play-Doh" as Erin calls it, is going to save your piece every time.

Simply knead and roll your wood putty before smearing it onto the damaged area. Erin recommends overfilling any gaps to ensure that every nook and cranny is covered.

Next, sand it down with 220 grit sandpaper once it's dried. After adding her first layer of topcoat, Erin then goes in with her blending sticks from the brand Mohawk to replicate the wood grain herself. Lastly, she adds one more layer of top coat. You'll never know the piece was damaged in the first place!
