Fans Declare Kelly Clarkson Is 'Absolute Perfection' While 'Serving Up the Classics' in Latest Kellyoke Performance

Kelly Clarkson has continued to impress fans with her vocal skills over the summer as she has dished out new Kellyoke covers during her popular NBC daytime talk show.

The American Idol alum has convinced fans she can sing anything, as she’s covered pop hits and rock ’n’ roll classics alike. She has also dusted off some of her own songs from early in her career, stunning fans even with her most recent renditions.

For her latest Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday, July 16, Clarkson, 42, introduced audience members to her version of Tony Bennett’s classic “(I Left My Heart) in San Francisco.” Bennett, who died at 96 in July 2023 , first released the jazz standard more than 60 years ago.

“Serving up the classics 🎶,” Clarkson’s show wrote on Instagram as it shared a clip of her performance online.

Fans were touched by the soaring vocals that the “Stronger” singer brought to her cover of the song, with many believing that Bennett would have approved of her rendition.

“WOW Stellar ❤️🔥. Classic and soulful ✨❤️ Tony Bennett would be so proud 🙌,” one person wrote, as another agreed, “Tony Bennet is smiling 🥰👏👏.”

“Absolute perfection,” one Instagram user wrote, adding that Bennett “is smiling down.”

“Pure velvet sound 🔥🔥🔥 you will go down as the best female vocalist of this generation,” another Instagram user predicted.

The Bennett cover also prompted several of the “Since U Been Gone” singer’s fans to suggest that it could inspire a whole new project for her.

“Beautifully done! What about an album with classic standards!? Surely, you'd do an amazing job!” one person said.

“You need to put out an American Standards album,” another fan urged, adding, “With your amazing voice it would be outstanding. 😃❤️.”

“I wish you'd do an old jazz album 😍,” one Instagram user commented, as another suggested, “Broadway is calling!”
