Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars were at a lull this year at the Primetime Emmy noms with five apiece.

While that’s up +2 from Marvel’s count of three last year with the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, Star Wars ‘ tally this year, all for Ahsoka, is off considerably from 2023’s 23 noms, which was fueled by series Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Marvel’s foray into streaming series on Disney+ rallied them to respective heights of 28 noms in 2021 spurred by WandaVision and in 2022 with 19 Emmy noms juiced by Moon Knight, Loki, What If? and Hawkeye.

The critically acclaimed series notched 4M views across the first two episodes in its first five days on Disney+ with the finale clocking 3.5M views in its first five days, becoming the OTT service’s most-viewed full-length animation series finale since Season 1 of Marvel’s What If…?
