Matty Healy's Fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel Talks About Having Kids Following Engagement

Gabbriette Bechtel says kids are in her and Matty Healy 's future after their engagement.

In her first big interview since becoming The 1975 frontman's fiancée in June , the 26-year-old American model -- born Gabriella Leigh Bechtel -- is expressing her hopes for the future with the British musician.

She talks with Vogue U.K. and says the relationship she has with her future hubby is the first real love she has found in her life. Bechtel explains that she and Healy, 35, are eager to start their lives together -- and that includes a couple of kiddos running around their home.

"When I have kids, it’s going to be: dinner every night – no phones – to celebrate the smaller things and recognize people’s happiness,” Bechtel says, adding that they are planning to soon move in together to Healy's Hollywood Hills where they want to raise children.

The model --who previously dated Bob Dylan's grandson, Levi Dylan, in 2020 -- continues,"I love being in love [...] When I thought that I was in love before it was just me being a person of service to somebody else."

Bechtel and Healy were first linked together in September, just months after he was rumored to have ended a relationship with Taylor Swift . At the time, the pair were spotted holding hands and kissing in New York City.

Months later, the model-musician announced her engagement to Healy in June on Instagram by hard launching their upcoming nuptials with a cheeky mirror selfie showing off her unique ring.

In the pic, she holds up her ring finger which is adorned with a stunning piece of jewelry with a big black stone in the middle encircled by what appears to be small diamonds. She also posted pics to her Instagram Story showing off the rock.

"MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT @trumanblack," Bechtel captioned a photo of her left-hand ring fingeron someone's behind.

Healy's mom, Denise Welch, further confirmed the happy news during an appearance on Loose Women.

"I have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged... They went over to see their friends, Charli and George, in New York and I woke up this morning to the fact they've put it on Instagram. Instagram official... He's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel -- Gabbriette she's known as. Black diamond; he had it made for her," Welch, 66, said.

Swift, 34, similarly moved on quickly after her love story ended with Healy, finding a partner in Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce . The pair have been seeing each other for roughly a year now after he attended her Eras Tour concert in July 2023.

According to sources close to the couple, an engagement may not be far off for Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince , as well.

"Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there's no question about that," one person close to Swift and Kelce, 34, told ET in June.
