Arkansas Storm Team Weather Blog: Feeling like Christmas in July?

It won’t exactly feel like a normal Arkansas Christmas, but it will feel like December 25th, 2021 when parts of Arkansas warmed near 80°!

Right now is typically the hottest time of the year. Our average high temperatures are in the low 90s from now through most of August. This is also the time of year when we typically see our most days in the triple digits.

That’s why this forecast for an extended stretch of below-average temperatures is such a big deal!

When making a forecast, we look at several different forecast models. Most of the time there are large differences in what each model is forecasting. This time, the forecast models are all in agreement that cooler temperatures are going to be here for a while!

Below is the American and European model’s high-temperature forecast for the next 10 days!

Both forecast models have high temperatures in the 80s through July 25th!

Normally when we have temperatures in the 80s during July it’s due to rain and clouds. This won’t be the case, especially this weekend. Friday, July 19th through Sunday, July 21st will feature mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the 80s, and low humidity!

We will see rain chances. It looks like another cold front will move through early next week.
