    Edmonton Green: Man fighting for his life after 'attempted murder' attack at London station

    Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man in his 80s was attacked at a north London station.

    A man, 18, and a woman, 20, are being questioned as the pensioner fights for his life in hospital.

    Officers were scrambled to Edmonton Green station at just before 10pm on Tuesday,

    A British Transport Police statement said: “Officers received reports of an assault that had taken place at Edmonton Green railway station at around 9.53pm on 16 July.

    “A man in his 80s was taken to hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.”

    Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident are asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016, quoting reference 766 of 16 July.
