‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ teases Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool in latest trailer

It seems that Marvel is always thinking of new storylines and plot twists for their biggest superheroes. Soon, they will be debuting a duo that already has everybody talking. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman , Deadpool & Wolverine is bringing together two iconic Marvel characters for what promises to be one great journey.

With just a little over a week before the film’s scheduled release date (7/26/24), Marvel has released yet another trailer for this film (we count at least 17 trailers, teasers, and clips on the official Marvel YouTube channel ). While there already have been trailers showcasing some of the film’s events, this one gives a closer look at what’s about to come. That includes some variants of the famous Deadpool that you do not want to miss, as the plot could really be shaped by their presences. The film takes place six years after the events of Deadpool 2 . Wade Wilson has hung up his Deadpool suit and is now choosing to live a simple and quiet life. However, just as he is getting comfortable, an organization called the Time Variance Authority calls Deadpool up for a new mission that involves saving his home universe. In order to accomplish this mission, he is forced to team up with superhero Wolverine. Neither of them are particularly happy about this arrangement, or each other, but they will still try to work together for the fate of the universe.

The latest trailer was released on July 16th. The song “Hey Mickey” by Toni Basil played in the background of the video, giving a fun and excitable energy to this trailer. There are displays of many action moments, such as various jumps and preparations for battle. There are also humorous moments, like Deadpool landing on a car and the various comments about his toupee. The teaser also gives some small teasers to the Deadpool variants that will be seen. Some of the notable ones include Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool, both of whom could lead to some wild moments. There is also Dog Deadpool, played by Britain’s ugliest dog Betty, who Deadpool is immediately smitten with. The film is clearly teasing fans about some big moments, and some big characters. Anything could happen to these two beloved characters and this pairing on screen can only mean that there are many more thrilling moments in store for viewers.

While this is not the first time that Lady Deadpool has been teased for this upcoming film, the person playing this variant has not been made any more clear. Some people think that the character could be played by Reynold’s wife, actress Blake Lively . She matches the look presented and the happy couple have always been close, maybe now is the time that they do a film together. Another popular theory is that the character will be played by singer Taylor Swift . Swift is one of the biggest stars of the moment, which means it would make sense to possibly tease her appearance. She is also good friends with Reynolds, and the two of them were seen with Jackman and the film’s director Shawn Levy at a Kansas City Chiefs game. That does not necessarily mean she plays this character, or even that she is in the film, but this group has raised some eyebrows. Whatever happens in terms of the reveal, Lady Deadpool will surely capture everyone’s attention.

While we may not know the identity of Lady Deadpool, there are still many cast members that are joining Reynolds and Jackman that we know about. That includes The Crown star Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, a villain with telekinetic and telepathic powers. Succession star Matthew Macfadyen will also be in the cast, playing a Time Variance Authority Agent that wants to destroy Earth. Actors returning from previous films in this universe include Morena Baccarin , who plates Wade Wilson’s ex-fiancee Vanessa Carlyle. Rob Delaney will be coming back as car salesman Peter Wisdom and Leslie Uggams will come back as Wade’s roommate Blind Al. Brianna Hildebrand will also be coming back as Negasonic, a member of the X-Men. There will surely be more Marvel favorites appearing in the film, but some may not be revealed until the film’s release.

The film is set to be released in the United States on July 26, with the UK release being a day earlier. It is set to be shown in theaters, with options given to view the movie in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, and 4DX, allowing viewers to have the best experience they possibly can.

This film will be the first one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) to have an R rating. That means there will surely be chaos in the film unlike previous ones that take place in the MCU. If this trailer is any indication, and if the variants indicate anything as well, so much can happen and fans should gear up for this adventurous ride.
