GOP Senate candidate Bernie Moreno on RNC, Vance and fall race

OHIO (WJW) — Ohio is at the heart of the Republican National Convention.

It’s a chance for Republicans to make their case directly to the voters.

That includes GOP U.S. Senate candidate here in Ohio, Bernie Moreno. He’s taking on Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown this fall and is also a close friend of now-vice president candidate U.S. Sen. JD Vance.

Fox 8’s Joe Toohey sat down with Moreno for interview. Learn more in the video above.

A spokesperson for Sen. Brown released the following statement to FOX 8 Wednesday evening:

“Ohioans know that while Sherrod fights for them, Bernie Moreno only looks out for himself — from refusing to pay his employees the overtime they’d earned and destroying the evidence to get out of it, to supporting a national abortion ban which would overturn the will of Ohioans, to opposing the bipartisan border security bill that was backed by border patrol agents.”
