‘Please don’t drive distracted’: Teen hits parked limo, flips SUV reaching for cup

DENVER (KDVR) — The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office asked people to not drive distracted after sharing how a teen driver allegedly drove into a parked limousine while reaching for a cup.

The teen driver was not injured in the incident, which happened on South Kit Carson Street and East Arapahoe Road in Centennial.

“Our Traffic Unit wants to remind you its not just cell phones that lead to distracted driving,” ACSO said on social platform X. “Reaching for items in your car and taking your eyes off the road, even for a moment, can lead to accidents.”

The teen “drifted into” the parked limousine while reaching for the cup. The SUV then flipped on its side, according to law enforcement.
