The Central Kansas Free Fair parade is Tuesday, July 30. Traditionally the parade occurs on Thursdays, but the Central Kansas Free Fair board of directors wanted to move the parade earlier in the week to kick off the fair and Wild Bill Hickok Rodeo. Ed Boice

Along with the many activities and displays the Central Kansas Free Fair is planning for their 100th anniversary. The fair made another change this year by moving the parade from the traditional Thursday date to Tuesday, July 30.

“In discussions with the rodeo committee and trying to be more of a true kickoff to the fair, we felt like moving the parade to Tuesday to be on the actual first night to try and kick the whole event off was probably the best option,” said Bob Kohman, Central Kansas Free Fair board of directors member.
