NFL training camps haven’t even begun yet, but one prominent football personality has heard enough chatter about one team.

As rumors have heated up in the last week about Raiders star receiver Davante Adams potentially being traded to the Jets, ESPN’s Louis Riddick appeared on Wednesday’s “Get Up” and offered his candid opinion about the buzz — which he feels is excessive.

By the end of more Davante Adams Jets fantasy talk, Louis Riddick had enough.

"Why don't they just try to get everybody? Just ask every team, 'Hey, can I have your best player?'"

“Why don’t they go out and try to get Trent Williams, too?” Riddick commented sarcastically. “Maybe they should go out and try to get Lane Johnson, too. Why don’t they just try and get everybody?

Jets spoke to Arthur Smith about ambiguous coaching role

“You know what, we spend so much time talking about [the Jets]. How about the quarterback just stays healthy? How about they just protect him? … Greeny [host Mike Greenberg], I’m tired of your team, to be honest with you. They’re fine right now. Just let them play.”

    “I understand that,” Greenberg replied.

On Tuesday, fellow analyst Dan Orlovsky made headlines of his own on “Get Up” when he suggested it was a “done deal” that Adams would be traded from the Raiders to reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the Jets.

Mike Greenberg’s beloved Jets have continued to capture media attention ahead of the 2024 season. @AwfulAnnouncing/X.

In response, Adams’ agents called comments by Orlovsky, WFAN host Boomer Esiason and even Rodgers himself “baseless, unfounded speculation,” implying that Adams will not be leaving Las Vegas anytime soon.

Adams finally chimed in on the brewing situation, squashing any idea he wants to depart.

“I’m locked in with the Raiders and I really feel good about this team, and as far as I know they feel good about me,” the 31-year-old told Shannon Sharpe on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast that dropped Wednesday.

To Riddick’s point, the Jets have been one of the most-discussed teams of the NFL offseason, especially during the dog days between minicamp and training camp.

With Rodgers slated to come back from a torn Achilles, the team is projected for an over/under of 9.5 wins while boasting the 11th-best Super Bowl odds, according to BetMGM.

The Jets’ stellar roster — featuring corner Sauce Gardner, receiver Garrett Wilson, defensive lineman Quinnen Williams and running back Breece Hall — has also continued to accumulate praise from outlets and scout rankings.
