Former White House physician: Biden, Harris unfit for office

(The Center Square) – U.S. Rep. Ronnie Jackson, R-Texas, the former White House physician, said neither President Joe Biden nor Vice President Kamala Harris were fit to serve as president.

Jackson for three years has repeatedly questioned Biden’s mental and physical health and called for him to be removed under the 25th Amendment, The Center Square has reported . The amendment, ratified in 1967, establishes procedures for replacing the president or vice president under certain circumstances. It has only been used three times in 1973 and 1974.

Jackson also called for Harris to be removed as Biden’s so-called “border czar,” last year introducing a resolution for the president to replace her with “an experienced and competent leader.”

“Being a president is an unrelenting 24/7 job,” he said at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night. “Time off truly just doesn't exist. Our president needs to make clear and decisive decisions in a moment's notice. When the phone rings in the middle of the night, the president must be ready. Unfortunately, our current president is not ready for that call. Let's not kid ourselves, ‘Father Time’ has not been kind to Joe Biden and China Russia, Iran, and North Korea, they do not respect Biden's 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule.”

He also placed blame on Biden’s family and Harris, saying, “We would not be in this situation were it not for Joe Biden's staff and his family. They should have compassion for him and prioritize his health and our country's security. But they have put their own interest above America's interest. Perhaps the greatest blame lies with his own Vice President, Kamala Harris. She has not been truthful with us. She has lied to us. She has put party above country and she is as unfit in character as Joe Biden is in body and mind.”

U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, last month introduced a resolution supporting Harris “to convene and mobilize the principal officers of the executive departments of the Cabinet to activate Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to declare President Joseph Biden incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers as Acting President.” It also states Biden “has repeatedly and publicly demonstrated his inability to discharge the powers and duties of the presidency, including, among others, the powers and duties of the Commander-In-Chief.”

Roy said that “Democrats have now known this for a long time” about Biden’s declining mental and physical health. “They've been guilty of trying to hide it from the American people. They've been using him [Biden] as a puppet as a Manchurian candidate to drive their radical agenda.”

Jackson cited failures of the Biden administration, including “the wide-open southern border, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, record high inflation and the devastating crime in our streets,” as a “legacy of failure, disappointment and danger.”

“There is simply too much at stake to have someone who can barely shuffle to a podium be the one that is responsible for the safety and the security of our country,” he said. “Every second that Joe Biden remains in the White House, this country becomes less safe.”

By contrast, under a Trump presidency, “We will restore our standing on the world stage,” he said. “We will bring back our great economy we had. We will finally secure our southern border. We will rebuild our great military. We will clean up crime in our streets, and most importantly, we will have a president who is respected by our allies and who is feared by our enemies and who leads with strength.”

He also said he was extremely proud of Trump, “who literally took a bullet for our country,” referring to him surviving a failed assassination attempt.

Jackson attended the Trump rally on Saturday sitting close to the stage where the president stood. He and his family were eyewitnesses to the shooting who were in the line of fire.

On Saturday night, Jackson posted on social media, “My nephew was injured at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Thankfully, his injury was not serious and he is doing well. My family was sitting in the front, near where the President was speaking. They heard shots ringing out — my nephew then realized he had blood on his neck and something had grazed and cut his neck. He was treated by the providers in the medical tent. Thank you to all those that have reached out to check on him. Please join my family and me in praying for all who were injured and the life lost. The President and the survivors are lucky to be alive.”
