WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — A West Memphis woman is asking for the public’s help finding her stolen food truck.

Adriane Mondy said the big purple trailer was parked behind her sister’s house on South 14th Street when thieves hauled it away. Mondy said she was on vacation in Jamaica when she got the news.

“I thought they were pranking me because I was gone six days,” said Mondy. “I was devastated.”

Mondy owns and operates Donna D’s Mobile Kitchen out of the truck. She specializes in homemade egg rolls and said the trailer and its contents are worth around $25,000.

“I have a generator inside of it, which I paid about $1,200 for, a refrigerator, two deep fryers, a grill, an air conditioner. I just had my whole water system redone so I would have hot running water. I had new floors just recently done,” Mondy said.

Mondy said the truck was taken around 9 p.m. Sunday, and according to tipsters on Facebook, it was being towed by two people in a white pickup truck and may have been headed toward Memphis.

Mondy said she worked hard to build up her business and has been forced to cancel upcoming events and refund deposits because of the theft.

“I had one this weekend at Southland. A very, very big one. I would have made a lot of money,” said Mondy. “I named my business after my best friend just to keep her name alive, and that truck helps me whenever I am in a bad mood. It does everything for me, and I want it.”
