Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever took the court against the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night, marking their final game before the WNBA's month-long midseason break.

Clark put on yet another astounding performance, setting the all-time single-game assist record (19) — breaking Courtney Vandersloot's previous mark (18) set in 2020.

Women's basketball legend Rebecca Lobo took to social media with a telling post amid Clark's record-breaking performance.

"The @WNBA single game assist record is 18, set by Courtney Vandersloot against the @IndianaFever in 2020," Lobo wrote on X before Clark ultimately shattered the record.

"The @WNBA single game assist record is 19, set by Caitlin Clark for the @IndianaFever in 2024," Lobo later added.

Unfortunately for the Fever, Clark's masterclass wasn't enough to get the job done against the Wings. Arike Ogunbowale and her Dallas squad took home the win with a 101-93 final score.

Clark finished the game with 24 points, 19 assists and six rebounds. The Fever's No. 1 overall pick will take the court again when she suits up as a member of the 2024 WNBA All-Star team on July 20.
