FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — A woman who was involved in a crash in Woodlawn earlier this month died from his injuries, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) announced Wednesday.

On July 3 at about 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 8600 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlawn.

Officers found that 80-year-old Donna Gulino was driving a Cadillac when she tried making a left turn onto Lukens Lane. That’s when FCPD said a Mini Cooper struck her car in the intersection.

Police: 9 arrested during July 4th weekend for allegedly boating under the influence in Maryland

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries that, at the time, were not considered to be life-threatening.

On July 16, investigators were told Gulino died from injuries she received in the crash.

Preliminarily, police said speed and alcohol do not seem to be factors for the crash.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact FCPD at (703) 280-0543. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers.
