Donald Trump Jr. called on supporters to “fight” at Wednesday’s Republican National Convention, a reference to what his dad said in the moments after an attempt on his life.

Moments after a bullet gashed his ear at a campaign rally on Saturday, former President Donald Trump raised a fist in the air and shouted “fight!” as Secret Service agents rushed to get him to safety.

“He looked at the crowd, and what did he say?” the younger Trump asked at the RNC. Screens on the stage displayed a now-iconic Associated Press photo of Trump with his face bloody and his fist up.

    “Fight!” the crowd chanted.

“And we will fight,” Trump Jr. said. “We will fight with our voices. We will fight with our ideas. And on Nov. 5, we will fight with our vote.”

The assassination attempt killed rallygoer Corey Comperatore, a former firefighter, while he shielded his family from gunfire.

During his speech, Trump Jr. spoke about the moment his dad was almost killed, and Comperatore’s death.

“We came millimeters away from one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history,” Trump Jr. said. “But we did lose an American hero that day. We wish he were here with us tonight, but his heart will live on in the nation and the community that he loved. So I would like to take just a moment tonight to express our gratitude for the life and service for the hero American, Corey Comperatore.”

    The crowd chanted, “Corey!”
