LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been NBA teammates since 2019, though they first played together in the 2012 Olympics. A decade and two years later, they're once again representing Team USA at the Olympics. While Davis hasn't been a starter, he's been incredible for the Lakers off the bench, which led to Fadeaway World asking LeBron about his longtime teammate's impact on the court.

"I see it every day. He's been my teammate for the last six years, so I've seen it every single day. He's just one of these talents that there's not many of them, so it's always a treat to be on the same floor as him."

LeBron put up 11 points and two assists in a calm and efficient performance, never trying to play outside of his role and trying to impact the game in ways he doesn't need to. The talent of this squad is so incredible that each player can focus on their absolute strengths to make sure they win over a 40-minute game.

Davis had his first game of under 10 points with seven points against Serbia, but he got that alongside six rebounds and six blocks over his 16 minutes of action, most of them alongside Bam Adebayo.

James and Davis starting together on Team USA seems unlikely at the moment after USA head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that the starting trio of LeBron with Stephen Curry and Joel Embiid is expected to continue.

LeBron James And Anthony Davis Have Always Been A Fierce Duo

James has always thrown support behind Davis whenever he can, as we saw during the 2024 Playoffs where he hyped AD up as one of the best bigs in the entire world .

"AD doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. He's one of the best bigs we have in the game, one of the best bigs in the world. And he's showing that again through the first four games."

LeBron's great leadership will keep Davis motivated, as we've seen over their five-year stint as teammates on the Lakers. James averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists last NBA season while Davis put up 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

The pair won a championship together in 2020 and somehow made a Conference Finals run in 2023, a season where they spent most of the year below .500. The sheer talent of these two frontcourt players makes Team USA look unbeatable with the talent around them.

Winning is sweeter after adversity, so the USA will hope for some challenging games at the Olympics to further emphasize their superiority over everyone and everything over there.
