Dog Mom Shares A Week’s Worth Of Golden Retriever’s Silly Tantrums

Most of us are familiar with the sweet, friendly side of the golden retriever personality, but apparently even these pups have the occasional temper tantrum. One dog mom decided to share some truly hilarious footage of her pooch, Bailey, having a series of mini meltdowns. We’re not sure what made him upset, but the way he expressed his annoyance was too funny! His mom’s videos have been going viral on social media.

In one post, Bailey’s owner collected a week’s worth of temper tantrums from her very vocal golden retriever. Most of them followed a pretty predictable formula. First, the pooch would plop himself down onto the ground with an irritated huff. Then, he’d often kick his back legs out for dramatic effect , adding additional grumbles.

“Bailey’s tantrums this week so far,” his mom joked in her video.

Some commenters were concerned that the golden retriever might not be having tantrums, but reacting to hip pain. However, Bailey’s owner assured everyone that her pooch is in great health — he’s just very expressive! She even shared a video demonstrating that he’s been doing this sort of thing ever since he was a puppy.

Her post included some adorable footage of baby Bailey’s antics as he tried to figure out how best to express himself. He started out by doing a little spin as though he were going to lie down, but then he ended up bouncing on the bed instead. In later clips, he finally figured out his signature move: the theatrical flop! Eventually, he began to punctuate his movements with snorts and growls. Since then, he’s been exaggerating more and more.

We’ve got to hand it to Bailey — this golden retriever has truly mastered the fine art of the temper tantrum !
