Did Stray Kids Renew Their Contract With JYP Entertainment?

Popular K-pop boy band Stray Kids has renewed their contract with JYP Entertainment . On July 18, 2024, the agency issued a statement confirming the update. Their contract is set to expire in 2025, but the eight members of the group decided a year ahead to continue their professional relationship with JYP.

JYP Entertainment formed Stray Kids (SKZ) with members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. Originally, it consisted of nine members, but Kim Woo-Jin left the band in 2019. The K-pop group has come a long way since then and is slowly taking over the global market. This year, they made history and became the first K-pop band to attend the Met Gala 2024 .

Stray Kids renews contract with JYP Entertainment

JYP Entertainment released a statement on Thursday, July 18, 2024, about the contract renewal with Stray Kids. It reads, “Ahead of their contract expiration early next year, all Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N renewed their contracts. Stray Kids, who is showcasing unique music and powerful performances in the global music market, and JYP, who led and planned the journey of their growth, completed contract renewals based on strong trust and with high aspirations for the future.”

The agency has helped Stray Kids reach its peak and is still encouraging the group to rule worldwide. Recently, the band treated its fandom ‘STAY’ with a preview of their upcoming track, “Chk Chk Boom.” It is a part of their new album , “ATE.” The song and music video will be released on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. KST.

Furthermore, the eight talented boys won hearts at the London music festival, BST Hyde Park, on Sunday, July 14, 2024. It was the group’s first time performing for UK fans. Meanwhile, the news of their contract renewal with JYP Entertainment excites STAYs for more interesting new projects.
