Atlanta Braves roll out new Bullpen seating area, expanded Chop House

The Atlanta Braves fans who favor the outfield are getting an expanded Coors Light Chop House and a private lounge.

Why it matters: The Braves have the fifth-highest average home attendance , according to MLB stats. The season membership program has a waiting list .

    • In other words, there's a market waiting to be tapped.

Zoom in: The Bullpen will be located in Sections 152 to 155 in right field, overlooking (fittingly) the bullpen.

    • Fans will have access to a private lounge underneath the seats and enjoy complimentary ballpark food and non-alcoholic drinks.

The Chop House comes with in-seat food and beverage service, high seats, and other amenities. It is expanding into Sections 107 and 108, or the Diamond Corner.

The intrigue: The new areas are absorbing existing seats and won't change the ballfield's roughly 41,000-seat capacity, a Braves spokesperson tells Axios.

    • However, the Bullpen will feature actual new seats. They're made of breathable mesh, the team says.

Yes, but: The seats are reserved for people with full-season memberships. And like we said: there's currently a waiting list for a spot.
