NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal was on a segment of Good Morning America on Wednesday with longtime host Robin Roberts. During his time on the show, the four-time NBA champion shared his honest thoughts on WNBA rookie Caitlin Clark.

O'Neal discussed the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award, giving the nod to Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.

Following his take on Reese, the former league MVP commented on Clark's influence on women's basketball and his thoughts on her talent.

"Caitlin [Clark] is a fabulous player. The female Steph Curry ," O'Neal said. "They have done a lot for the game... Caitlin Clark is a fabulous player. Angel Reese is a fabulous player, but I'm going to give it to Angel Reese right now."

During the 2024 season, Clark has averaged 17.1 points and 8.2 assists per game in her first 25 games. She's been a young leader for the Fever, which currently stands as the No. 7 team in the WNBA with an 11-15 record.

Part of what makes the 22-year-old a "fabulous player," as O'Neal explained, is Clark's versatility.

The rookie out of Iowa has proven to be an elite playmaker. In addition to her top-level scoring, Clark secured the most assists in a single game by any player in WNBA history.

She notched the feat against the Dallas Wings on Wednesday in the Fever's 101-93 loss. Clark finished the game with 24 points and a record-breaking 19 assists.
