NBA superstar LeBron James and the Team USA Basketball team faced off against Nikola Jokic and Team Serbia on Wednesday. Following the 105-79 victory for Team USA, the Los Angeles Lakers forward shared his true feelings about the Serbian star.

"It’s always challenging when I’m against him because he’s such a great talent. You give all the respect to him. He’s earned everything that he’s gotten. Not only with his national team but also with the Denver Nuggets. And he’s a great person too," James said.

In Team USA's victory , James ended the game with 11 points and two assists, while Jokic punched in 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists.

James and Jokic have competed against each other through the past few seasons in the NBA, with the Serbian native recently topping the Lakers star in the playoffs.

Jokic is one of just nine players in NBA history with at least three MVP trophies. He's also an NBA champion, having secured his first ring during the 2022-23 season.

The Denver Nuggets star helped take down the Lakers in a first-round series during the 2024 NBA playoffs. Despite the 4-1 series exit for James, he showed high praise for his NBA foe.

There's clearly a high level of respect from James to the Nuggets star on and off the court.
