“Abbott Elementary” star Sheryl Lee Ralph and “Arrested Development” star Tony Hale announced this year’s nominees for the 76th Annual Emmy Awards. Several series raked in countless nominations like FX’s hit chef series, “The Bear,” which won six awards at the 2023 Emmys. Now, its second season became the most-nominated comedy series in Emmys history with a record breaking 23 nominations.

The network seems to be making some good choices with their programming as Shōgun showed out in the drama category with 25 nominations. The nominations include nods for its stars Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Takehiro Hira, and Néstor Carbonell.

Netflix’s “The Crown” received 18 nominations for its final season, highlighting a first-time nomination for Dominic West for his performance as Prince Charles. This year’s nominations also include new shows like Prime Video’s hit series “Fall Out” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” which earned 16 nods, respectively.

ABC’s beloved workplace comedy “Abbott Elementary,” Hulu’s comedy series “Only Murders In The Building,” and Apple TV+’s drama series “The Morning Show” all received several nominations across the 2024 Emmy categories.

All of the entries had to be released between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024 to be considered for this year’s Emmy Awards. The Emmys are voted upon each year by the members of the Television Academy. The final round of voting will end on Aug. 26, less than a month before the ceremony is set to air live on Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.
