In 2021, 1047 Games’ indie multiplayer shooter Splitgate turned into a viral sensation overnight courtesy of its blend of Halo and Portal gameplay and aesthetics, and the studio has now announced a full-fledged sequel. After confirming in 2022 that it had started working on a follow-up and teasing it as recently as earlier this week, 1047 Games formally announced Splitgate 2.
