Pedro Neto, a transfer target for both Tottenham and Arsenal, has previously admitted to being an Arsenal fan during his childhood.

The north London clubs have been linked with the Wolves winger for some time now, but Wolves are keen to retain him, especially after the recent big-money sale of Max Kilman to West Ham.

Since joining Wolves from Lazio in the summer of 2019, Neto has made quite an impression. However, his last three seasons have been marred by injuries, including a serious knee injury towards the end of the 2020/21 season.

Despite these setbacks, interest in Neto remains high, with both Arsenal and Tottenham reportedly interested in the 24-year-old. And that could potentially lead to a transfer tug-of-war between the two clubs. Neto was also linked with Liverpool and Manchester City last season but that speculation has gone quiet.

Arsenal may have an advantage in this race, as Neto revealed in a 2021 talkSPORT interview: "When I was a kid growing up watching English football, my favorite team was Arsenal.

"Because with Arsene Wenger, I thought besides winning trophies they played very good football. I'm with Wolverhampton and am very happy! Of course, it's the best club in England now."

Despite his injury woes, Neto has made 135 appearances for Wolves, netting 14 goals and providing 24 assists. Last season, he made 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals.

Liverpool.com says: Neto was reportedly on Liverpool's radar as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah but with the Egyptian set to stay at Anfield, that move is no longer on the cards. It appears he will move on from Wolves sooner rather than later but would he be able to take Bukayo Saka's place at the Emirates?
