A very sweet moment was captured of two cute Dachshunds who had the best time being in charge of waking their human baby sibling up for the day.

On July 12, 2024, TikTok user Skylar Kioko (@skylarkioko) shared a video of two helpers she had one morning who were very eager to take on the task of waking baby up for the day. Take a look!

In a 20-second video, we're introduced to two cute Dachshund doggies who have a whole lot of pep in their step.

"POV your best friends wake you up instead of your mum," the text on the screen reads. The video shows a sweet and curious baby who is awake and lying in her crib. Her attention is on something outside the crib but still in the room — two dogs.

More specifically, two adorable Dachshunds have been sent in by their mom to wake up the baby. They're really excited to do the task.

One of the pups is right up to the crib and his tail is wagging so hard it looks like his whole body is vibrating. He takes a moment to do a big "good morning" stretch as his human sibling watches the dog.

Then, just when we thought it couldn't get sweeter, the dog gently inserted its snout into the crib, allowing the cute baby to give him a good morning bop.

Also in the room was a second Dachshund who kept his distance a bit and let his doggy sibling greet the baby. But he's happy and chill, too, stretching on the carpet and taking a little extra time to wake up.

"This made me so emotional," the video's caption read, "Dogs truly are a man's best friend."

The emotion also comes from the perfect music in the background of this sweet video, a piano version of "Stuff We Did" from Disney Pixar's Up .

In the comments, people were very touched by the video as well.

One person wrote, "They’re all the same size."

Another shared, "Her little hand reaching out."

    One added, "The three musketeers."

Someone else chimed in with, "Well now I have to get my unborn baby a Dachshund cause this is too cute."

And another TikTok viewer wrote, "Dogs are like, you’re still in your crate?!"

How to Help Your Dog and New Baby Get Along

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ( ASPCA ), it's important to plan ahead if you have a dog and go on to have a baby because some things will be much easier and safer for everyone.

"To make things go as smoothly as possible for everyone, it’s important to take some time to prepare your dog for the arrival of your new addition," the organization shares, adding that there are two things you'll focus on for your dog when it comes to a new baby.

First, you'll want to ensure your dog knows how to interact with the new baby safely. Second, you want to help your dog adjust to all the changes, new experiences, smells and sounds ahead.

The ASPCA outlines easy-to-follow steps, and it all starts with first making a plan--before the baby comes home.

"Four months before the baby arrives, gradually introduce your dog to the new experiences, sights, sounds, and smells she’ll encounter when you bring your baby home, and associate these new things with rewards," the experts suggest. Then, when you have one to two months left until baby arrives, make adjustments to your dog's daily routine so it's not abruptly different when baby comes in.

There are a lot of steps in between, but it's worth taking the time to do them. not just for safety for all but because then you can maybe see some moments of your own, like this video.
