    Heavy police presence expected Thursday in Montgomery County

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Drivers traveling in Montgomery County should expect to see a large presence of law enforcement on the roadways.

    According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a heavy police presence will be on I-75 and State Route 48 in Montgomery County on Thursday, July 18. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., authorities will be performing a “joint traffic enforcement operations” to help lower crashes and crime.

    Survey asks community to provide input on Fraze Pavilion, Lincoln Park

    Below are the jurisdictions participating in the initiative:

    • Dayton Police Department
    • Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office
    • Ohio State Highway Patrol

    On the roads, crews will promote transparency, provide education and raise awareness to drivers.
