Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson first got their big break on Big Brother 19. The duo sparked a house romance early in 2017, but neither won, placing 12th and 11th, respectively. They then moved on to one of my favorite shows, The Amazing Race , and I actually had to stop watching Season 30 because they annoyed me so much. Sadly, the moment Jessica teamed up with Cody, it felt like her personal gameplay was slated to fail.

While in the Big Brother house, viewers noticed her dominant alliance was dragging her down and giving Jessica special powers. However, some players blamed her for Cody’s mistakes during the game. Even though she wasn’t destined to win, Jessica stayed true to Cody and their romance.

Love at first sight for Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson

Both Jessica and Cody locked eyes almost the moment they entered the Big Brother house. Even though some fans were skeptical, it turned out that their love was more than just a showmance. After being evicted by their housemates Cody and Jessica competed on the Amazing Race season together and took home the one million dollar prize. Even though Cody and Jessica felt like they had been able to redeem themselves, many fans found them intolerable to watch.

Fans took to Reddit to air their grievances at the time of the win. One wrote, “Jessica, in particular, is a textbook-level narcissist. Getting mad that Evan wouldn’t solve the puzzle for her even though she screwed over Alex & Conor and Lucas & Brittany with the telephones literally the previous episode.” Another added that the couple had “Zero sportsmanship. Terrible personality. And this win will do nothing to fix her horrible personality.” However, the military veteran didn’t view Jess the way fans did and later popped the question on February 13, 2018.

Shortly after their engagement, Jessica and Cody surprised everyone by announcing they were married in October 2018 via People . The couple said their vows at The Chateau Le Dome at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. Jessica clearly lived in a fairytale and noted, “Fall in L.A. is just so gorgeous out, so I wanted to be dancing under the stars all night long. I wanted for it to be dripping in flowers, and string lights, and lots and lots of candles. I wanted it to look just very romantic. Like a daydream.”

Cody pointed out “There was a long time in our relationship where everything we knew about each other, the outside world also new. If you were a live feeder, there were no secrets. It wasn’t until we finally got some alone time outside of the house where we could start getting to know each other beyond what everyone else knew, and I think that was pretty special.”

Hello, kids

After settling into their Texas home, Jessica gave birth to their first child together, Maverick, in 2019. The couple then went on to have two more children, Carter and Atlas, who arrived one right after the other in October 2020 and July 2022. The couple then welcomed their fourth daughter, Gemma, in 2023. While pregnant with her daughter in 2019, Jessicq told ET! “After this one, I’m ready for the next one, and the next one, and the one after that!” The couple is a blended family, with Cody having a daughter from a previous relationship.

Cody gushed in the interview, sharing he would have a whole football team if he could, stating, “In the future, when they’re all grown up, and they all come home for the holidays, how great that’s gonna be.” The sentiment is nice, but what if your kids grow up to hate you? That be a terrible Thanksgiving holiday!

Still going strong

It seems like the power couple is still going strong. A quick look on their Instagram shows a plethora of family photos, and don’t worry, Jessica—you’re still looking pretty. In addition to their own podcast, the couple runs a few businesses, including That’s Amore at-home latte kits and it’s NOMB, which is a customizable t-shirt company. The family seems to be thriving, but I wager most fans couldn’t care less unless they had a personality transplant.
