As someone who’s been shopping in the plus-size section for most of my life, I can say that the options have certainly improved over the years. Sure, there are still miles to go when it comes to size ranges and in-store accessibility, however, perusing for chic finds as a size US 22 has proved to be slightly easier. A recurring favorite of mine is Anthropologie, and they definitely brought the heat this season with their summer items. Plus-size gals, if you’re unfamiliar, Anthro is one of the top retailers right now with some of the trendiest fashion items on the market (and a size range that goes all the way to a US 26W). I’m talking everything from Tenniscore to Cowboy Core . Their repertoire of dresses, shorts and other summer staples will definitely get you through the heat waves in style. From tiered maxi dresses to wearable boxer shorts , here are 13 of the best plus-size Anthropologie summer items to shop immediately.

20 Anthropologie Summer Items I’m Loving, Starting at Just $24

    1. Pilcro Cropped Linen Halter Top

    Anthropologie

Every summer is a linen summer, and I’m here with the cutest halter top that should definitely be on your radar. This cropped number from Pilcro is perfect to wear all season long and comes in three natural hues. Dress it up or keep it casual; either way, it’ll soon become your next summer staple.

    2. By Anthropologie Boxer Shorts

    Anthropologie

Gen-Z fashion enthusiasts have crowned boxer shorts as one of the top trends for the season. While some may have reservations about wearing glorified underwear in public, this pair rarely stays in stock. Plus-size reviewers are in love with the cozy appeal of this pair, with their only gripe being the quality of the material, claiming they’re somewhat see-through. Personally, I think they’d make a great beach day short.

    3. Maeve Sleeveless Swing Popover Top

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2RdgIV_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Catch me dreaming about Amalfi Coast summers in this popover top adorned with a cutesy lemon print. One thing to know about me: I’m obsessed with all things citrus— desserts , fragrances, you name it, I love it.  So, this thematic top is a big yes in my book. Designed from a comfortable cotton fabric with embroidered lemons and a contrasting blue striped collar, this blouse adds the perfect hint of color to your closet without being too over the (ahem) top. All you’re missing is the Aperol spritz .

    4. Maeve Collared Bubble-Hem Mini Dress

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0ttKJe_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Skirt lovers are living for a bubble hem this season and I’m not mad at it. They're flowy, they’re flouncy and need to be in your wardrobe this summer. This mini dress is a bit more relaxed and ideal for anyone who wants to lightly dip their toes into the trend. The crisp pleating at the waist makes it extremely flattering and it has pockets!

    5. Varley Trent Short-Sleeve Court Mini Dress

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=13dztL_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Thanks to Zendaya and her tennis blockbuster film, Challengers , streets are filled with pleated skirts, quarter zips and blinding white sneakers. Whether they’re heading to the court or simply running errands, I’ve never so many people in their tennis era—and now you can be too. This chic white dress is all fashion and function. The top has a simple T-shirt structure and is attached to a flowy pleated skirt that drapes down to the mid-thighs. Plus, it has a dainty drawstring to help adjust the waist to your liking.

    6. Maeve Mock-Neck Shell Top

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=1XUsSH_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Mock necks are one of my favorite fashion staples. Full turtlenecks can be too stifling and the added fabric around the neck is a no-no in this heat. However, mock necks give you the sophistication of a turtleneck without the mild choking. Honestly, summer office fashion has never looked better.

    7. Andie Swim Plus Malibu One-Piece

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4JHURW_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Live out your Baywatch fantasies in this stunning red one-piece swimsuit from Andie. This is an exclusive plus-size item for the Anthro site and comes in black just in case you’re not into the Pamela Anderson cosplay—but let’s be real, who isn’t? It even has a convenient and secure front snap closure, so you don’t run into any accidental wardrobe malfunctions while you’re swimming.

    8. Maeve Halter Tiered Maxi Dress

    Anthropologie

Maxi dresses will never go out of style, and 2024 has proved them to be more popular than ever. This stunner from Maeve checks all the boxes. It has a flowy tiered skirt, a chic halter neckline and adjustable back ties to ensure the best fit.

    9. The Kyla Flounce Mini Dress

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0Ouv4r_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

Flowy dresses are a godsend during the summer, and reviewers are praising this one for its unique waistline. However, taller gals take note that this cutie may run a bit short, so it might be best to wear something underneath. Did I mention it has pockets?

    10. The Colette Shorts by Maeve

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=0raIlG_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

You know the beloved Colette wide-leg pants , now meet the Colette shorts. Like their longer counterpart, these shorts are highly recommended by Anthropologie shoppers with nearly a five-star rating. Praised for its stretch and comfortability, you’ll never want to take them off. They also come in a linen style , in case you’re looking for a bit more breeze around the thighs this summer.

    11. The Tobie Button-Front Pleated Shirt Dress by Exquise

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4Prtdt_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

If you couldn’t tell from this list, I’m obsessed with pleats. They instantly elevate any simple fashion item. This dress, for example, has pleats surrounding the waist, instantly giving a more cinched look. You can style it with a classy pair of loafers or sport it as a long tunic paired with your fave jeans. It also comes in a mini style if the long skirt isn’t your vibe.

    $198 at Anthropologie

    12. BHLDN Leila Deep-V Flutter-Sleeve Satin A-Line Gown

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=4g7uqD_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

I love a dress that can be used for any occasion. Enter this satin beauty from BHLDN that everyone’s wearing to their summer soirees. It comes in a range of colors, from bold jewel tones to subdued neutral shades, and is the best for weddings . The flutter sleeves don’t pool over the arms too much and the maxi skirt provides enough room, so the fabric doesn’t cling too much to your body. Trust me, compliments will be floating your way all night long.

    $248 at Anthropologie

    13. Daily Practice by Anthropologie Messa Jumpsuit

    https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3pOuix_0uVUf6yO00

    Anthropologie

From workouts to daily chores, this jumpsuit is made to withstand anything life throws your way. It’s designed with one of Anthro’s signature fabrics, so it’s stretchy, durable and water-resistant. The parachute-style pants are ideal for lounging, walking and intense activities. But don’t be fooled, this piece is also incredibly versatile, so you can spruce it up with a jazzy pair of sandals, just in case you make a brunch stop along the way.
