It’s the oldest major in all of golf and the betting favorite heading into the prestigious events is the World’s #1 golfer, Scottie Scheffler. He has (+400) odds to win. Scheffler has won six events this year, including his second green jacket at Augusta. The 28-year-old is the betting favorite heading into the final major of the year.

Of the three majors that Scottie Scheffler has played in this season, his (+450) odds to win are the highest yet. Ahead of the Master’s, Scheffler was (+400) to win. He finished off that major with his second green jacket. With four wins and a tie in smaller events ahead of the PGA Championship, Scheffler was again (+400) to win that event. However, Scheffler had the birth of his child and a strange encounter with police that threw off his week. He finished just inside the Top 10. At the U.S. Open, Scheffler was (+250) to win. Bettor’s at sportsbooks cannot get enough of Scottie Scheffler

For the Open Championship, Scottie Scheffler has received 14.3% of the tickets placed at BetMGM and 23.7% of their outright market. At the Traveler’s Championship in June, BetMGM received 16.6% of the money and 7.9% of all bets on Scheffler. Additionally, DraftKings has seen 14% of their tickers and 16% of their handle bet on Scottie Scheffler for the Open Championship. Finally, FanDuel is getting 11% of the money bet on Sceffle. That’s tied with Bryson DeChambeau.

At DraftKings, Scottie Scheffler is (+400) to win the Open Champiosnhip. The next closest golfer is Xander Schauffele with (+1000) odds to win. Justin Thomas is at (+1100), Collin Morikawa is at (+1200), and Alex Moran is at (+1600) to round out the Top 5 lowest odds.
