Whether you've got fine or thick tresses, curly or stick-straight hair, frizz is that annoying flyaway that can spoil any decent hair day, especially when the humidity hits. The search for a one-size-fits-all fix can seem like a never-ending journey.

You might find yourself, months down the line, with a collection of expensive products that promised silky hair but failed to perform. But don't despair, as you may already have a secret weapon against unruly hair in your kitchen drawer.

On ITV's This Morning, beauty guru Sarah Jossel revealed her unusual but effective tool for taming wild locks: none other than ordinary kitchen foil.

She advised viewers to wrap their hair in foil and then slide it along the length of the hair, as reported by the Daily Record.

She exclaimed: "This, it completely takes out the frizz", which prompted Alison Hammond to humorously respond: "How weird is that?"

Jossel explained the science behind it: "The metal charges take the static out of your hair. It's a short-term and quick fix, but it absolutely gets rid of pesky frizz."

Another joked: "Why does the thought of this make my teeth feel funny lol."

A thankful viewer said: "Thank you for this! ! ! My hair goes frizzy when its humid outside". Someone else offered an alternative suggestion: "Dryer sheets work better."
