Top 10 hardest SAT words for North Carolina, according to new study

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — New research based on online search trends has found the top 10 hardest SAT words for North Carolinians.

Included in this list are “nuanced,” “perceive,” and “ensured.”

The study, conducted by crossword experts WordDB.com , also found that one in 64 North Carolina residents look up an SAT word. It aimed to measure the difficulty of every word listed as an answer option in the Reading and Writing section of the most recent SAT practice tests. They evaluated how much every US state recently searched on Google for the definition of 257 words featured in six SAT practice tests.
